Founded by Celia Gregory, The Marine Foundation is a diverse collective of individuals who have come together through the united aim of discovering and encouraging new ways of interacting with the sea, which are creative, economically viable and ecologically sustainable.

Our Mission
It is critical that we change the destructive relationship of recent times to one in which we are responsible caretakers, not hunters and exploiters. We need to establish more examples of successful, socio-economic interaction with a restorative focus, actively supporting sustainable relationships between the ocean and the local and global community whilst recognising that the ocean is a primary source of income for many people in the world.
 
Ultimately we all rely on these healthy and manageable relationships, with the expanding awareness that we are all interdependent.

Art influences our humanity and stimulates thought and makes us reflect on how we perceive the world about us. New technology and discoveries are constantly expanding and evolving our ability to represent our ideas and perceptions.

Celia Gregory believes his words perfectly express a new and positive perspective on the environmental and Socio- economic challenges our society is facing. The negative and scaring images associated with our environmental impact have the effect of immobilizing us. She believes that it is necessary to establish an emotional connection to our environment, to generate real solutions and practical ways forward, approaching the issues with a creative and explorative mind, creating  awareness and a wave of change,
